Dropbox security

If you’re a regular Dropbox user you might be interested in this little gem. Basically it’s how to perform a security audit of your Dropbox account.
Head over to dropbox.com/account and try these out:-
Firstly, click on the “Security” tab.
Under the section “My Devices” you’ll see a list of all computers and mobile devices that are currently linked to your Dropbox account. Have a scan through on a regular basis and remove any unknown computers or mobile devices.
Secondly, review your apps by clicking the “My Apps” tab.
Carefully review all the apps which have associated with your Dropbox account. If you don’t recognise anything then delete.
Lastly, take a look at dropbox.com/events.
This page gives a detailed timeline of activity in your dropbox. It’s useful to see if any folders have been re-shared with another user and they have made changes which you hadn’t noticed previously.
Hopefully, there won’t be any nasty surprises in there but always best to keep an eye out and monitor these things closely, particularly if you have sensitive data stored.
