The vast majority of workplaces have a structured work week. In the UK many businesses and staff think 9-5 is a given. Yet laws were introduced in 2014 giving employees the right to request flexible working patterns. We’ve seen publications from Forbes to The Guardian reporting on the benefits of four day work weeks, which were actually implemented by KPMG back in 2009.
What a brilliant two days it’s been at the Office Show 2017! The show incorporated a full day dedicated to Virtual Assistants – right up my street. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network and meet like-minded people in business. And what made it even more exciting was bringing the Outstanding Virtual Assistant award for 2017 back to Scotland for the second time!
This Tuesday saw us on a jaunt from Glasgow to London for the much anticipated LUCA Awards hosted annually by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. The ‘Oscars’ of the bookkeeping world, the LUCAs are the biggest event in the bookkeeping and the awards themselves are the most highly prized.
