Merry Christmas from the team at ValueAdd Business Solutions
It’s been a another busy year here at ValueAdd Business Solutions, and as we reflect on 2017 we would love to take this opportunity to update you on everything we have been up to.
January – June
Back at the start of 2017, ValueAdd Business Solutions made the bold step to move out of our little office in Ruthven Lane, Glasgow, to our more spacious office in Speirs Wharf, Glasgow.
After a successful few years, it became apparent we were in desperate need of some more space to work efficiently for all you wonderful clients. Glad to say we have settled in well, and our new office has given us the opportunity to host most training sessions for clients in office, and the potential scope to employ and host new team members.
In February Emma achieved her Level 2 accreditation in Bookkeeping and is continually training and updating her knowledge within the field (more about her progress later).
The Accountex conference returned in May, in which Michelle and Emma attended and gained a wealth of useful information. ThenJune saw the arrival of the newest addition to our team, Adele. Adele’s primary focus is on the Administration, Social Media and Marketing services to clients.
July – December
The second half of the year hailed a variety of different training and information events. Getting up to speed on all of the latest innovations and updates across the different platforms and technologies we use.
Adele achieved her Xero advisory certification in August and is also continually training and developing her knowledge of the software.
There was a lot of celebrating in October – Michelle and Emma attended the ICB conference in London where Emma was awarded the prestigious LUCA award and was recognised as Employed Bookkeeper of the Year 2017. There was also a posh breakfast at the House of Commons to make the trip even more special.
In November we were recognised to be vigilant and reliable in our working practices and were awarded our certificate in CyberSecurity.
Looking forward to 2018
Looking ahead to 2018, we anticipate another busy year ahead and have lots of big plans for development. As always, delivering first class customer service to all of our clients is our number one priority, however, we also have aims to broaden the services we offer and the skills we can provide.
