On Sunday we were delighted to announce that Michelle Smith of ValueAdd Business Solutions reached the finals of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen Young Business of the Year Award 2012 (under 3 years in business).
Each year, the ASB recognises women who are high achievers in the business world and those who contribute something back and Michelle is one of five finalists who will be pitching their business to a panel at the end of July. The Award is an exciting opportunity for Michelle to showcase her companies achievements to a wide audience.
From her city centre office Michelle said, “I am very proud to have reached the final of such a prestigious award. It is proof that all my hard work setting up the business has been worthwhile. I’ve had amazing support from the local Scottish Women in Business group and also from the VA Support Group (VASG) who are always there to offer advice and support”.
ValueAdd Business Solutions support clients with a full back office management and support service offering everything from Social Media Management and Training to Bookkeeping, Research to Transcription Services. They work with Sole Traders through to SME’s using new technologies and cloud based software applications. Michelle and her team communicate not only with local clients but across the globe with clients as far away as Canada.
Judging will take place on Tuesday 31st July and Wednesday 1st August however the winner will need to wait until ASB Conference and Awards dinner on Friday 14th September to find out the result.
